Phylum
Phylum is defined by a sculptural stone base composed of two opposing conical monoliths. The geometry establishes a clear structural axis, where mass, balance, and proportion determine the table’s presence and stability.
The base is carved from solid travertine, emphasizing precision in cutting and alignment. Its weight and form provide structural integrity while allowing the tabletop to appear visually suspended above the stone volume.
The wooden tabletop is crafted with controlled detailing and careful material selection, highlighting the relationship between stone and wood through contrast, proportion, and refined execution.
Phylum is conceived as a dining table where structure is expressed through geometry, material logic, and skilled construction.
